Goodwill is teaming up with Everett Community College's Advanced Manufacturing Training and Education Center and area businesses to help high school seniors succeed. Our two-year program provides students with a smooth transition through their senior year in high school toward a rewarding career in aerospace.

This unique program offers:
- Two summers of service learning, civic participation, team building, college and career readiness to prepare students for both their senior year and employment.
- Ongoing support and Saturday workshops throughout the students’ senior year to assure they are on track for high school graduation and ready for college programs in aerospace pathways.
- Up to four quarters of professional and technical classes at Everett Community College as well as ongoing college and career navigation and support services.

- The Youth Aerospace Program is a two-year commitment.
- The program will enroll 20 at-risk students experiencing barriers to success in education and self-sufficiency. They will be selected through an interview and application process.
- This opportunity is at no cost to qualifying students. Participants will receive a financial stipend based upon attendance and participation.
- Students will be expected to attend weekend workshops and activities throughout their senior year. Ongoing support is available to make sure they are on track for high school graduation and are ready for college and career exploration in the aerospace industry.
- During the program, students will take field trips to aerospace technology companies such as Boeing, B/E Aerospace, Universal, and AMT, and network with aerospace industry experts as well as local community leaders.
- During the first summer session, students will participate in service learning, civic participation, team building, and college and career readiness to prepare students for both their senior year and work. Past experiences have included working with Marysville Parks & Recreation, Tulalip Tribes, Marysville Food Bank, United Way's Project Homeless Connect, and Housing Hope.
- During the second summer session after high school graduation, students will begin four quarters of professional and technical classes at Everett Community College. This includes college and career navigation. Students will receive job placement assistance once a short-term certificate is earned.
- Students completing the program will receive a nationally accredited pre-employment certificate and one or more professional/technical certificates in advanced manufacturing from the following options: precision machining, mechatronics, welding and fabrication, composites, and technical design (CAD).
